About

Statement

I’m a painter interested in giving the viewer an Alice-in-Wonderland-falling-down-the-rabbit-hole experience – not sure what you are seeing, something to be pondered, and it’s not the same every time you look at it.

My work deals with ambiguous positive & negative space, the interplay of color and gesture. I combine the spontaneous or accidental with the deliberate.

Metaphorically, the paintings reflect the excessive overlay of sensory and emotional input from the past & present that affect how we experience of daily life.
